A question we often get asked is... How long does Epicuro Hydrophobic Protection last?
Well, our Hydrophobic Protection is a permeant solution which bonds to the surface of the structure it is applied to. This bond lasts forever. It cannot be damaged by UV rays, dirt, grime, liquids etc.
The best example here is the concourse at Kings Cross Station. With over 70 million passengers passing through the concourse each year, it's about as busy a location as you can get. To keep the area clean of dirt, grime and stains, the concourse is protected with Epicuro Hydrophobic Protection.
Reapplied every 6 years as part of their standard maintenance schedule (not because it's worn off), we know that it can handle over 400 million passengers stepping all over it before it needs topping up... proving to be a durable solution for most high traffic situations!
If something happens to the surface, for example a vehicle gouges a scar into a concrete wall, then the protection will be removed along with the concrete that is chipped away.
It's ok though, a quick reapplication of Hydrophobic Protection to the affected area and it'll be good as new.
Easy, just pour some water on the surface and you will see it 'bead', turn into tiny water droplets.
