What can Epicuro Hydrophobic Protection be used for?

For porous surfaces, including brick, concrete, natural & artificial stone. Suitable for facades, concrete structures (e.g motorway bridges) and pavements, including heavy footfall areas.

  • Respiratory protection: Under normal conditions of use, where adequate ventilation is available, no special respiratory protection is needed. 
  • Hand protection: Wear rubber gloves.
  • Skin protection: No special clothing or skin protection is recommended under normal conditions of use.
  • Eye protection: If there is a risk of splashing, wear protective goggles.
  • In the event of ingestion: do not induce vomiting. Contact a doctor or a specialist.

  • Ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dust-free and touch dry before applying the product.
  • Remove all atmospheric pollution-related dirt from all surfaces to be treated before starting the treatment. Jet wash if necessary, but allow the surface to dry completely before application.
  • Apply only when the surface temperature is in the range +5oC - +30oC.
  • Do not apply if rain is expected within 4 hours.
  • Use directly from the container, shaking well before use. Do not dilute.
  • The treated surface should be impregnation to saturation point. Apply 1-2 coatings uniformly with a brush, roller, or low-pressure spray equipment, keeping the surface saturated for 10 mins in between coats.
  • On vertical surfaces apply from the bottom up.
  • Drying time: 1-2 hours (subject to ambient temperature). Full resistance will develop over 5-7 days following application.

Epicuro Hydrophobic Protection is an invisible but breathable protective barrier that repels water, and other surface contaminants, extending the life of your surface or structure. Suitable for porous surfaces, including brick, concrete, natural & artificial stone.

Epicuro Hydrophobic Protection prevents deterioration caused by frost attack, acid rain and contaminates such as salts, oils, and fuels.

Epicuro Hydrophobic Protection ensures water, oil, grime, graffiti, bird droppings, chewing gum and algae cannot penetrate the surface and sit on top of a protective barrier. 

This means that even basic cleaning operations will remove otherwise tough or problematic stains saving time, money and reducing disturbance.

Epicuro Hydrophobic Protection is quick and easy to apply and provides an extremely hard-wearing protective solution, suitable for areas which experience heavy footfall and contamination (e.g. stadiums, parks & railway stations).

Epicuro Hydrophobic Protection does not chemically alter or combine with the substrate. It achieves excellent adhesion, does not adversely affect slip-resistance, and helps prevent the growth of moss and lichen that cause slippery wet surfaces.

Epicuro Hydrophobic Protection is a permanent, colourless, non-film-forming treatment that keeps the surface permeable to air and water vapour. It is UV-resistant and does not discolour with age. 

Epicuro Hydrophobic Protection is a unique 0.0% VOC, ‘ready-to-use’, high performance protective treatment that is safe to use, environmentally friendly and water-borne (non-toxic, solvent and silicone-free).
